Man Convicted In Sex Assault Of Atlantic City Hotel Housekeeper
A New Jersey man was convicted by an Atlantic City jury on Monday for a 2020 sex assault on a Claridge Hotel housekeeper, authorities said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A New Jersey man was convicted by an Atlantic City jury on Monday for a 2020 sex assault on a Claridge Hotel housekeeper, authorities said.
Kye Hardison, 35, of Camden, was handed down a guilty verdict after a six-day trial, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. The jury convicted Hardison of sexual assault, burglary and aggravated sexual assault.
Hardison faces an ordinary term of 10 to 20 years in state prison on the sexual assault conviction.

“However, given the defendant’s criminal history and the particularly egregious nature of this sexual assault, the State will seek an extended prison term of up to life,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Hardison would also be subject to Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life upon any release.

Hardison illegally entered a 12th-floor hotel room in the July 2020 incident before he pushed a 61-year-old hotel worker inside the room and phsycially and sexually assaulted her, according to the Courier Post Online.
The Camden man then fled onto the boardwalk; police were informed that a Claridge hotel worker was following the man on the boardwalk, the publication added.
Breaking AC reports that Hardison was on probation for two cases in Camden surrounding threats and drugs at the time of the July 2020 attack. He also had two arrests in 2022, including violating a domestic violence restraining order twice, the outlet added.
Sentencing is pending Hardison’s psychosexual assessment at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel.
