Mobile Museum Brings New Jersey Notables To Ocean City

The New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum arrived in Ocean City on Thursday and gave visitors a free look into the lives of the state's most celebrated citizens.

An array of multimedia displays offer information on state Hall of Fame members from Harriet Tubman (who led Underground Railroad missions to free slaves from a safe haven in Cape May) to Bruce Springsteen (who was dubbed "the future of rock and roll" in 1974).

The museum, which expands from a trailer, is parked near the Ocean City Free Public Library at 17th Street and Simpson Avenue. It will be open to the public for free tours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 26 to 28).
