O.C. Theatre Company Brings Murder Mystery to the Boardwalk
The local company will perform the family-friendly comedy on Oct. 27 and 28.

The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) continues to grow, and this year, the company has expanded its offerings to the fall season with the presentation of its first-ever Murder Mystery Comedy.
Just in time for the Halloween season, this family-friendly production will be performed at the Ocean City Music Pier, Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk, on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.
"A Family Reunion To Die For" is an interactive murder-mystery that was developed and written by OCTC professional actor Matt Steele and his brother Mike.

Matt Steele appeared in OCTC productions of CHARLIE BROWN, TOM SAWYER and HELLO DOLLY. Steele is now a member of the Actor’s Union and is living in Los Angeles, California where he is pursing a career in film and TV.
The show follows the Knotting Family as they gear up for their big family reunion. Newlywed Christine Franklin is eager to show off her husband, Freddie, to the family she hasn’t seen in years. The joyful reunion quickly turns sour when members of the family start dropping like flies.

Complete with a hilarious chase scene, over-the-top characters and the perfect "whodunit script," audiences will have to figure out the crimes as the story unfolds! The production will feature area student performers who are under the direction of John Anker Bow.
Bow is no stranger to the OCTC stage with hit performances inHAIRSPRAY, ANNIE, HELLO DOLLY, CATS, OKLAHOMA and more.
“The opportunity for the youth of our area to work with the talents of John Bow and a script developed by OCTC alumni Matt Steele proves the mission of OCTC and the mentorship program we have in place to leave a lasting impact” said Michael Hartman, artistic director of OCTC.

With Halloween right around the corner, audience members are encouraged to celebrate the season and come in costume. Kids in costume will receive a special treat.
