Ocean City Hears 'Sounds of Hollywood' on Wednesday

Leaping off the film and onto the stage of the Moorlyn Family Theatre is the all-singing, all-dancing, fully staged musical “The Sounds of Hollywood.”   

This limited engagement will run on July 3, 17, 24 and August 7 at 7:30 p.m. All performances will be held at the newly opened Moorlyn Family Theatre, 837 Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk (across from the Ocean City Music Pier). 

Join a cast of professional performers from the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) as they take audiences on a nostalgic journey through the most popular movie musical moments of the last 50 years.

Combining film clips, glorious costumes, talented singers, dazzling choreography and memorable stage moments, “The Sounds of Hollywood” will have the audience singing and dancing along in their seats.

The show is conceived and directed by John Anker Bow and features Rachel Marlowe, Corey John Hafner and Erika Wasko.

“We are thrilled to have John and this triple-threat cast in Ocean City bringing their experience from regional theaters across the country to the Moorlyn stage,” said Michael Hartman, artistic director. “You will not want to miss this walk down movie memory lane in a historic film venue with a live theatrical space! Performing singing and dancing tributes to some of the best known cinematic hits that were shown on the screen of the Moorlyn over the years is a pretty special opportunity.”
