Ocean City Honors Nor'easter Soccer Champions
The Ocean City amateur soccer team reached the "Final Four' in Premier Development League play.

Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian presented a "piece of the boardwalk" to Ocean City Nor'easters President Giancarlo Granese on Friday (Aug. 22).
The ceremonial gift recognized the Nor'easters achievements as Mid-Atlantic Division Champions in the Premier Development League, the most competitive amateur league in country and a feeding ground for all of professional soccer.
Ocean City lost to Austin in a semifinal game of the "Final Four" in the PDL playoffs — but not before earning a 15-4-1 record, including a narrow 2-1 loss in extra time to the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.
Representatives of the Nor'easters came to City Hall on Friday with a banner thanking Ocean City and its fans for their support throughout the season.
