Ocean City Hydrant Repairs May Affect Water Pressure, Color

OCEAN CITY, NJ — New Jersey American Water will perform water hydrant repairs in Ocean City on Asbury Avenue between East 55th and 56th Street on Tuesday.

The project will start at 8 a.m. and finish at about 3:30 p.m.

Residents in the area may experience discolored or cloudy water, low water pressure or no water. When water service is restored, customers may also experience discolored water.

If water is discolored, residents should run the cold water taps only at the lowest level of the house for about three to five minutes until the water runs clear.
