Ocean City Track Stars Compete in Meet of Champions on Wednesday
The boys and girls send relay teams to the meet.

Ocean City High School track and field athletes compete at 3 p.m. Wednesday (June 5) in the state Meet of Champions at Frank Jost Field in South Plainfield.
The boys 4x800 relay came up big in the state Group III championship on Friday with an eight-second drop off their previous best time.
Junior Eddie Keenan, senior Adam Walawender, junior Louis Paone and senior Kevin Scott ran an 8:00.39 to qualify for both the state Meet of Champions and the Nationals next weekend in Greensboro, N.C.

Ocean City's girls' 4x800 relay of senior Mary Kate Brelsford, sophomore Devon Grisbaum, sophomore Rachel Stremme and junior Bridget Flynn qualified for the Meet of Champions with a 9:34.60.
Flynn will compete in two individual events: the 1,600 meters (4:58.00) and the 800 (2:14.63). Flynn won both events at the Group III championship.

Among other athletes competing is senior javelin-thrower Chad Williams, who qualified at 165-11.
