Ocean City Weekend: Boardwalk Art, Art of Surfing, Concerts
Special events in Ocean City for August 1 to 4.

Ocean City heads into the final month of the traditional summer season with a weekend highlighted by two art shows.
The 51st annual Boardwalk Art Show (Aug. 2-4): The show will feature leading artists throughout the Northeast, call (609) 525-9310. See full story on the Boardwalk Art Show.
The 13th annual Art of Surfing Exhibition (Aug 1-3): The show will be held on the Ocean City Music Pier and is free. Hours are Thursday 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Fri. and Sat. Noon to 10 p.m. A family event featuring original artwork by surfing’s biggest names, live music, and an opportunity to meet artists from across the country. Call (609) 744-3229.

The Philadelphia Orchestra Brass (Aug. 4): The concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Pops, 8 p.m. at the Music Pier. Tickets $20/$12. Hear celebrated musicians perform the world’s greatest brass music. Tickets at Music Pier Box Office, (609) 525-9248.
