The first location on 6th Street has been going strong since 1940.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Johnson's Popcorn has been a popular destination with locals and tourists since 1940. The 6th Street location is the original Ocean City Johnson's Popcorn and has remained in the same building ever since it opened. They also have locations at 8th and 14th Street on the boardwalk.
"Business is great, and we love what we do," said vice president of Johnson's Popcorn Rebecca Juzwiak.
According to their website, there were Johnson's Popcorn locations in surrounding New Jersey areas and Philadelphia. From 1975 to 1988, Johnson's operated from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
