OCEAN CITY, NJ — Food lovers of Ocean City were dismayed to learn that after nine years, Ocean City Cafe has served its last omelet.

Owners of the cafe announced the news of its closure recently on social media.

"Thank you to all our custmers [sic] and former employees from the bottom of our hearts," they wrote.

For the last year, Ocean City Cafe was run by employees Maria and Jimmy, according to the Reyna family. And in March 2024, Maria's Cafe & Grille will be opening in that same spot.

The new cafe already boasts a massive menu packed with old classics and new favorites, with everything from breakfast to dessert.

A specific opening date has not been shared yet, but it should open in March. You can visit the Maria's Cafe & Grille Facebook page for the most up-to-date information.
