Renee Tomlin Finishes 15th at Olympic Trials in 1,500 Meter Run

The Ocean City runner will not advance to Sunday's final.

Ocean City High School graduate Renee Tomlin finished 15th overall in the semifinal heats of the women's 1,500-meter run Friday night at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.

The top 12 runners advanced to the finals on Sunday, where the top three runners will represent the U.S. at the Summer Olympic Games in London.

Tomlin's time of 4:11.39 was 0.66 seconds from the 12th-place qualifier and less than three seconds from the top semifinal time — Morgan Uceny's 4:08.90. Tomlin's qualified for Olympic Trials with a 4:11.31.
