The new store offers fuel service and easy access to Ocean City.

A new "Super Wawa" opens 8 a.m. Wednesday (May 22) at 16 MacArthur Blvd. in Somers Point.
The store will include fuel service and is located at the opposite end of the Route 52 causeway from Ocean City on MacArthur Boulevard between DiOrio's Cafe and Braddock Road.
To commemorate the opening of the store, Wawa will host a hoagie-building competition between members of the Somers Point Volunteer Fire Department and the Somers Point Police Department.

Wawa will officially commence a grand-opening ceremony at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the help of Somers Point Mayor Jack Glasser and City Councilman Sean T. McGuigan.
Immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the hoagie-building contest will begin. Each team will be challenged to build as many hoagies as they can in the traditional Wawa way in three minutes. On behalf of the winning and runner up teams, Wawa will donate $1,000 to the charities of choice of both the winner and runner-up.
