The Ocean City Pops presents Night at the Opera! Sunday on the Music Pier starring the return of tenor, Stephen Costello.

The Ocean City Pops presents Night at the Opera! Sunday on the Music Pier. Not the Marx Brothers movie but a stage production starring the return of tenor, Stephen Costello.

Along with AVA Soprano, Vanessa Vazquez, Costello will perform selections from “La Boheme,” “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Faust,” among other numbers.

The Associated Press referred to Costello as a “brilliant voice...brims with youthful vigor and passion.” He came to national attention in 2007 when he debuted at the Met’s season-opening night. In 2009, he won the Richard Tucker Award. He went on to play a number of the world’s most important opera houses and music festivals, including London’s Royal Opera House, the Salzburg Festival and the Vienna State Opera.
