Unlimited Rides for $10 on Thursday Benefits Soldiers
Playland's Castaway Cove in Ocean City will host a Fun Day to benefit Operation First Response.

Playland’s Castaway Cove will be hosting a Fun Day on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., at their Ocean City Boardwalk amusement center near 10th Street. With the purchase of a $10 wristband, Playland offers unlimited ride access for the three-hour time period. All proceeds from this event will go directly to Operation First Response.
The admission wristbands can be purchased the day of the event at any Playland ticket booth. Playland’s Castaway Cove features an amusement ride park and arcade. In addition to their park, Playland also owns two miniature golf courses and go-cart raceway on the boardwalk.
“Community events, such as Playland, help not only raise funds for our military heroes, but also bring light to the struggles soldiers encounter after serving overseas,” said Peggy Baker, founder and president of Operation First Response. “It is our mission to serve all branches of our nation’s military in any assistance they might need. From the onset of injury throughout their journey back to civilian life, we are committed to supporting these soldiers and their families.”
