2018 Defining Moment: Fatal Paramus Bus Crash

PARAMUS, NJ — Two people, student Miranda Vargas, and teacher Jennifer Williamson, died in a horrific bus crash May 17 that authorities allege was caused when the driver made an illegal U-turn on Interstate 80 May 17.

The crash's aftermath was felt most seriously at East Middle School, in the greater Paramus community, and throughout New Jersey.
