• Newark Woman Used Baby Stroller To Steal Nearly $2K In Clothing From Mall: Cops (dailyvoice.com) — Paramus police say a woman used a baby stroller to hide nearly $2,000 in clothing stolen from Lululemon and Alo Yoga at Westfield Garden State Plaza. Officers, alerted by store loss prevention and mall security, stopped her near Door 5 and recovered the merchandise. She was arrested and taken to Bergen County Jail on theft-related charges. 
• Sherrill Announces Picks to Lead Departments of Veterans Affairs and Military Affairs (njbmagazine.com) — Paramus readers should know the state veterans home in town is part of a major overhaul as New Jersey splits its Military and Veterans Affairs functions into two new departments in January. Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill has tapped Brig. Gen. Yvonne Mays to lead Military Affairs and Vincent Solomeno to run Veterans Affairs, which will oversee the Paramus, Menlo Park, and Vineland veterans homes and related services statewide.
