6 Bergen Co. Harmon Face Value Stores Set To Close

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — In a move apparently related to the financial woes of Bed, Bath and Beyond, the retail giant is closing all of its Harmon Face Value stores, six of which are in Bergen County.

"As we continue to work with our advisors to consider multiple paths, we are implementing actions to manage our business as efficiently as possible," a spokesperson for the parent company said.

Just earlier this month, the embattled home goods retailer announced the closure of 150 flagship stores, including one in Bergen County, in a shift in plans to meet changing consumer preferences, Patch previously reported.

As Bed, Bath and Beyond has explored strategic options to match demand, the retailer is not meeting goals, registering a 33% decline in sales in the fiscal third quarter.

Now, the retail chain is closing all 50 Harmon beauty product supply stores, which include the following Bergen County locations:

"While this decision is difficult, local customers can still find their favorite health, beauty and wellness products at nearby Bed, Bath and Beyond stores, as well as online at bedbathandbeyond.com and our mobile app," the company spokesperson said.
