'No Trillionaires' Rally To Be Held In Bergen County This Weekend
The group "Tesla Takedown" is planning a protest this weekend at a car dealership in Bergen County.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An activist group has planned a "No Trillionaires" rally this weekend at a Tesla dealership where they've protested before.
The rally comes days after shareholders at the car company agreed to award CEO Elon Musk a trillion dollars in stock over 10 years.
The activist group, called "Tesla Takedown," cited the CEO's involvement in both global and local politics, saying that people are struggling and starving while he becomes wealthier.

"Pro-democracy Americans will take to the streets to denounce unprecedented payday amid Tesla’s plummeting sales and Musk’s increasingly toxic far-right politics," the group said in a release.
They noted that Musk's DOGE laid off federal workers including those overseeing the USAID program that fed hungry children around the world. They cited figures saying 400,000 children may have already died as a result.

They also cited "dangerous" robo-taxis and Musk's political donations.
The rally will take place at noon Saturday at the Tesla Dealership at 530 Route 17 in Paramus, they said.
The group has peacefully protested there before, including in March when they protested Musk's DOGE layoffs of federal workers, and aid cuts.
Reports this week said that Musk may become the world's first trillionaire, with some suggesting that perhaps workers can get better pay as well.
