Bergen County Installs First Of 10 Anticipated Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

PARAMUS, NJ — In a transition to alternative vehicles and fuels, Bergen County installed the first of 10 new electric vehicle charging stations on Monday at the County Annex Building in Paramus, a news release said.

"Alternative fuel vehicles are the future of transportation and a key factor in building a more sustainable Bergen County," County Executive Jim Tedesco said of the installation of the two charging stations.

"Lowering our carbon footprint to safeguard the environment for future generations is an urgent priority," Commissioner Chairwoman Tracy Silna Zur said.
