Dunkin Donuts Drive-Thru Hearing, Council Meeting Coming This Week

MONDAY:  The Main Library will be screening "Darling Companion" as part of the Monday Movies with Dottie, 12:30pm. In the film, Beth Winter (Diane Keaton) loves her dog more than she loves her husband Joseph (Kevin Kline), until Joseph loses the dog. They engage the service of a psychic gypsy to find the dog again. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first come basis

TUESDAY: The Mayor and Council are scheduled to meet at 7pm for a work session.

WEDNESDAY: Swing by Petruska Park between 3 and 7pm for the Farmers Market and pick up farm fresh fruits & vegetables, cheeses baked goods, Italian & Polish specialties, Gluten free baked goods, meats, coffee & tea, pickles, and dog treats.

THURSDAY: The Zoning Board of Adjustment will continue its hearing from July at 7:30pm in Council Chambers regarding the addition of a drive-thru window for the Rt. 17 North Dunkin Donuts.

WEEKEND: Support Spectrum for Living as they host the Northern New Jersey Walk at Van Saun Park on Sunday; registration is at 9am with the walk to follow at 10am. The event will consist of a 1.75 mile Walk, but attendees should bring their appetite because breakfast will be provided by Panera Bread, Starbucks of Westwood, and Dunkin’ Donuts. The Knights of Columbus will also be grilling up a delicious BBQ lunch with dessert donated by Sonja Kramer, of Cupcake Cutie, located in Westwood. Chat with members of the Newark Bears baseball team, County Executive Kathleen A. Donovan, and be entertained by 2Lips the Clown from Call-Us-Clowns, and face painter, Ivonne Ramirez.
