NJ School Security Guard Fired Gun In Bathroom, Put On Leave: Superintendent
A gun was accidentally discharged in a school bathroom in Bergen County. See the superintendent's letter below.

PARAMUS, NJ — A school security guard accidentally discharged his gun inside a school in Paramus last week, an official said.
The security guard discharged the weapon inside the bathroom of Midland Elementary School on Friday, wrote Superintendent of Schools Sean Adams in a letter to the community.
Adams said the accident was "extremely concerning and completely unacceptable" and the guard was placed on leave.

School counselors are available to talk to children about the incident, he wrote.
