Man Sexually Assaulted, Endangered Child In Bergen County: Prosecutor
A man was arrested Monday and charged with sexually assaulting a child, Bergen County prosecutors said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 20-year-old East Rutherford man was charged with sexual assault and child endangerment on Monday, said prosecutors.
Walfred Santizo-Simon was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, said Bergen County prosecutors.
Prosecutors said that this past Monday, the Rutherford Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.

Investigators determined that Santiz-Simon sexually assaulted and endangered the victim in Fairview both on Monday and on Feb. 1 of this year, prosecutors said.
He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
