Paramus Catholic Alum Rashan Gary Named Pro Bowl Alternate
Gary is having a career year with the Green Bay Packers, and has been recognized, along with three other teammates, as alternates.

GREEN BAY, WI — Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Rashan Gary has been named a Pro Bowl alternate, the league announced recently.
According to Packers.com, the Paramus Catholic alum, who is having his best year as a pro for Green Bay, was named an alternate for the game along with teammates Aaron Jones, Rasual Douglas and Corey Bojorquez.
The defensive lineman was the number one recruit in the nation coming out of Paramus Catholic, and garnered national player of the year honors while recording 13.5 sacks and four forced fumbles during his senior year.

He went on to play at the University of Michigan, before being drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2019 draft.
His production has boomed in 2021, and he's recorded 8.5 sacks, more than half of the 15.5 he's totaled in his career. Along with the sacks, Gary has also forced two fumbles, recovered another, and recorded six tackles for loss, according to Pro Football Reference.

Even when he isn't sacking the quarterback, Gary is having a greater impact of the pressure applied to the pocket than in his first two years. His 24 quarterback hits are a career high, even in a so far incomplete season schedule, according to Pro Football Reference.
