Paramus' Kirstin McGeary Named NJ Scholar-Athlete

PARAMUS, NJ — Kirstin McGeary has received a prestigious statewide scholarship.

McGeary was named Immaculate Heart Academy's scholar-athlete for 2019 by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.

"It was really awesome to be recognized for my hard work, along with some other impressive student-athletes from across New Jersey," McGeary said of the $500 scholarship.

McGeary is an accomplished swimmer. She will attend the University of Texas in the fall.

The association selects one graduating senior from each New Jersey high school to receive the award.

McGeary was presented the award at the NJSIAA's annual scholar-athlete luncheon May 19.
