Community Mourns Star Paramus Wrestler Killed In Crash
Alex Sebahie was a great son and accomplished student athlete, one person said.

PARAMUS, NJ — Alex Sebahie was an "accomplished student athlete" and "great son" who tragically died in a car crash early Thursday morning.
Sebahie, 21, was an elite wrestler while at Paramus High School, amassing more than 100 varsity wins. He wrestled in the 152-pound weight class and had a 32-6 record as a senior and won the North 1 Group 3 team championship, NorthJersey.com reported.

A GoFundMe campaign was started Tuesday afternoon to raise money and support Sebahie's family. The goal is to raise $25,000.
"Alex was a great son and accomplished student athlete," said Michele Hulahan, who organized the GoFundMe campaign. "He will be missed by many friends and family for a long time to come."

Other people expressed their sympathies to the Sebahie family.
"Issa, Rosie, Michael, Brandon, and Anthony: Words cannot express the pain we feel for you," Steven Klass said on the fundraiser's website. "May your memories with Alex comfort you during this tragic time. You’re all in our prayers."
According to his Facebook page, Sebahie was a student at Rider University.
Sebahie was killed after the Nissan Altima he was driving hit a utility pole off the northbound Garden State Parkway New Year's Day morning near mile marker 70 in Waretown, State Police confirmed.
Sebahie was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash as a result of injuries he sustained, said New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele.
Sebahie was the only occupant in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved, Peele said.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
