A full presentation on what is proposed with this budget is expected Thursday night. As previously reported, the district plans to use previously reserved funds towards building improvements next year.

The district did not receive any additonal state aid this year towards the budget. It will receive receive $1.9 million which is the same amount Paramus schools get for 2012-2013.

In addition, the district has to pay the state an additional $142,000 this year towards its assessment on School Development Authority funding it had received by way of grants for previously completed building projects.

This assessment is higher than what the district had originally anticipated, according to Cea.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Board of Education office.
