Paramus School District Ranked 42nd Out of NJ's Top 100
The list was developed by ranking 8,738 school districts based on key statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents.

The Paramus School District has been ranked the 42nd best school district in New Jersey, according to the 2015 Niche rankings.
Niche developed a list of the top 100 school districts in the state by ranking “8,738 school districts based on dozens of key statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents.”
The Paramus School District received an Academics grade of an A, a Health & Safety grade of an A, a 3.9 out of 5 on Parent/Student Surveys on Overall Experience, an A- on Student Culture & Diversity, an A for Teachers, an A- on Resources & Facilities, an A for Extracurriculars & Activities and a B+ for Sports & Fitness. “Grades” were calculated based on ”statistics and student, alumni, and parent surveys regarding academics in the district.”

“A high ranking indicates that the district contains great schools with exceptional teachers, sufficient resources, and a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experiences very highly,” according to Niche’s website.
The top five school districts, according to Niche, were Millburn Township, Princeton, Mountain Lakes, Pascack Valley Regional High School District in RiverVale, and Northern Highlands Regional High School District in Upper Saddle River. Numbers 100 to 96 on the list were the school districts of Weehawken, Jackson, Caldwell-West Caldwell, West Orange and Old Bridge.

For it’s methodology, Niche used “data sourced from various government and public data sets, Niche’s own proprietary data, and 4,624,238 opinion-based survey responses across a variety of topics from 287,606 current students, recent alumni, and parents.”
