School Bus And SUV Crash On Garden State Parkway In Bergen County: State Police

A crash between a school bus and SUV tied up traffic for a time on the Garden State Parkway on Friday, state police said.

PARAMUS, NJ — State troopers responded to a crash between a school bus and an SUV in Paramus on Friday afternoon, the second school bus crash in Bergen County in two days.

Just after 1 p.m. on Friday, state police headed to a crash scene on the Garden State Parkway South at milepost 164.9 in Paramus, said state police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron on Saturday.

Based on a preliminary investigation, he said, the crash occurred between a Mazda SUV and school bus.

No injuries were reported, he said.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

The day before, a Jeep Wrangler and mini-school bus crashed in a residential section of Ridgewood around 9 a.m. The bus was heading to a local elementary school.
