Search Ends For Missing Bergen County Mom
A Bergen County mom was missing for more than 3 weeks, police said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — After the Paramus police spent weeks searching for a missing Bergen County mom, they reported this week that she's been found.
"The Paramus Police Department is pleased to report that Velvet Poveromo has been located safe," they wrote in a Facebook post. "This successful outcome is the result of outstanding investigative work by our detectives, who worked tirelessly to follow leads, coordinate efforts, and ensure no detail was overlooked.
"We would also like to thank the many partner agencies who assisted throughout the investigation, as well as the members of the public who shared information and submitted tips through social media. Your support was instrumental in helping bring this case to a safe and positive resolution.

"We are grateful for the safe return of Velvet and the relief it brings to her family and loved ones."
"Thank you all sooooo much for helping locate my mother," said Poveromo's daughter. "Words can’t express how appreciative myself and my family are to the Paramus Police Department & Detectives along with the public for all their help. Thank you to all who played a part in this effort."
