3 Hurt After Small Plane Lands On Paramus Golf Course: Police

Breaking: The plane took off from the Lincoln Park Airport, lost an engine, and had to make an emergency landing, police said.

PARAMUS, NJ — A small plane made an emergency landing on the Paramus Golf Course Sunday afternoon, police said.

The plane lost an engine after taking off from the Lincoln Park Airport on its way to Poughkeepsie, New York, said Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at about 12:15 p.m., he said.

The plane landed on the 9th hole, and slid after touching down.

Ehrenberg did not know when the plane took out from Lincoln Park.

Three people on the plane suffered minor injuries and were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.

Paramus police and firefighters responded to the scene. Authorities were waiting for representatives from the National Transportation Safety Board to arrive Sunday afternoon.
