Teaneck Man Sexually Assaulted, Endangered Child: Prosecutor
A Teaneck man was arrested for sexually assaulting a child on Saturday, Bergen County prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Teaneck man has been charged for sexually assaulting a child on Saturday, Bergen County prosecutors said.
Joel U. Brito, 48, of Teaneck has been charged with criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors say that on Saturday, the Bergenfield Police Department contacted the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile in that town.

Prosecutors determined that Brito had "sexually assaulted and endangered a juvenile in Bergenfield in the early morning," they said.
He was arrested in Bergenfield and charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, prosecutors said.

Brito was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
