Equinox Fitness Club Opens in Paramus This Month

Equinox Fitness Club officially opens its doors this month on Route 17 North in Paramus.

The club with its unique design will bring a new fitness and well being experience into this 30,000 square feet location featuring the cutting-edge equipment, programs, award-winning designs and inspirational workout environment the company is known for the company announced last week. 

This will be the fitness club's second New Jersey location. The first is in Summit.

Equinox has locations all over the country and also in London and soon will open a location in Toronto, Canada.

“Equinox Paramus continues our tradition of developing locally inspired and iconic facilities. Set within the country’s most vibrant retail corridor, a new volume of space inspired by modernist industrial aesthetics is created with a devotion to health and fitness,” said Aaron Richter, VP of Design in a statement released last week.

“There has been a huge demand for an innovative, upscale fitness club in a number of cities where the market is under-served,” said Harvey Spevak, CEO for Equinox in a statment.

“By opening in Paramus, our aim is to meet the needs of a discriminating consumer who demands the best and currently doesn’t have the opportunity to get it," according to Spevak.

Equinox Paramus will feature three fitness studios where a full range of yoga, cycling, Pilates and innovative group fitness classes, including exclusive classes such as Barre Burn, METCON3, Shockwave, ViPR, and Tabata will be taught by instructors. 

Cardio and strength training areas unite free weights and state-of-the-art cardio machines where members can work out independently or with a trainer. Members can enjoy the offerings of The Spa@Equinox. There is also a KidsClub which allows members to bring their childen for supervised play and activities. 

Equinox will host its grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration Monday, April 22 at 2 p.m.
