Woman Allowed Sex Assaults Of Child To Continue, Says Bergen County Prosecutor
A Bergen County woman was arrested because she knew of sex assaults of a child and allowed them to continue, prosecutors said.

HACKENSACK, NJ — A Hackensack woman was arrested Friday for having allowed sexual assaults of a child to continue, prosecutors said Thursday.
Jennifer Garcia-Mota, 42, was changed with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors said that earlier this month, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past.

"The investigation revealed that [Garcia-Mota] had prior knowledge of the assaults occurring and allowed them to continue," prosecutors said.
Garcia-Mota was arrested in Paramus on Friday and taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, prosecutors said.
