Power Restored For Most Parsippany Customers After Outages: JCP&L

Power outages were also reported in Florham Park, Washington Township, Boonton Township, and a few other Morris County communities.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Power has been restored to most customers in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township late Tuesday morning as a snowstorm has been affecting the region, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

About 1,500 Parsippany residents were without power Tuesday morning, but the Jersey Central Power & Light website shows most of them have had power restored by 11:45 a.m. Small outage spots still remain in some communities as of the latest update, with 101 customers without power.

The county is still under a winter storm warning until 3 p.m., as heavy snowfall is expected to continue through the morning. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 13 inches are possible in parts of the county, said the National Weather Service.

Parsippany Township offices closed Tuesday, as did the animal shelter and the local school district. Many other county schools closed for the day Tuesday, as well, and county offices are closed.
