PARSIPPANY, NJ - Two new businesses were welcomed into the Parsippany-Troy Hills community over the weekend, according to township officials.
Mayor James Barberio made appearances at the ribbon cutting ceremonies of Shear Perfection Salon (83 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha) and Zen Dental Care (2200 NJ-10 Suite 105, Parsippany) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, per the township's social media.
Shear Perfection is a boutique-style salon offering trendy unisex cuts and styles, officials said a statement Saturday. The salon first opened its doors in October.

The salon, opened by the manager of the now-closed Prohaircutters down the road, touts several former stylists from the former location, according to Shear Perfection’s owners on social media.
“We are one big family at the new location and miss all our clients that don’t know where we are located now,” the salon said in a statement. “We also would love some new customer faces as well!”

Zen Dental Care, which opened in November and held its opening ceremony on Sunday, aims to “provide a relaxed, friendly, and serene environment” for dentistry needs in the area, the township said.
For every new patient at Zen Dental Care, a portion of the appointment fee will go to Cornerstone Family Programs, which will provide a healthy meal to one student, the office added.
