2 Parsippany Cops Rise Ranks With Lt., Sgt. Promotions

Officers have 26 years of experience between them.

Parsippany, N.J. – Two of Parsippany’s finest have been promoted to their next rank.

Lieutenant Paul Schulze and Sergeant Michael Sprung were both sworn in Tuesday to their new positions after successful tenures on the Parsippany Police Department.

Schulze has been with the squad for 17 years after working as a Morris County Corrections Officer. He’s been honored with a Life Saving Award, three Exceptional Duty Awards, two Command Citations, and two Unit Commendations. Schulze will now take over as Lieutenant of Internal Affairs.

Sgt. Sprung has been on the force for nine years and is a United States Marine Corps combat veteran.

Sprung has been awarded six Life Saving Awards, one Command Citation, three Unit Citations and one Letter of Commendation. He is a trained crash investigator, firearm instructor, rifle instructor, and ALCOTEST operator. He’ll continue with the patrol division as a supervisor.
