2016 Morris County Road Resurfacing Projects To Begin In Roxbury And Rockaway
Road resurfacing of 12 roads in Morris County will begin after Labor Day.

The Morris County road resurfacing plan will begin on five miles of road in Roxbury and Rockaway Township after Labor Day. The plan is part of the twelve miles of paving projects the Morris County Freeholders decided to go ahead with this year despite a hold-up with matching funds by the state.
The $1.35 million project for paving Morris County roads has already begun with storm basin and handicap ramp work in Roxbury and Rockaway Township. The contractors, Top Line Construction of Somerville, will continue the process by milling and paving around 4.6 miles of road over the next few weeks.
“We intend to follow through on our promise to improve roads across the county, to make sure they are in good shape and safe for motorists who expect us to properly maintain these roads,’’ said Morris County Freeholder John Cesaro, who is the county governing board’s liaison on public works projects.
