5 Discontinued Cars You Can Still Buy Nearby

You don't know what you've got 'till it's gone.

Several cars have been taken off American roads in the past few years, including the entire Saturn and Isuzu passenger vehicle lines. Some discontinued cars are still in production in other countries, but for cars not being made in the U.S.A. anymore, your only hope at owning one is to buy it used.

For this week's 5 Cars column, we bring you five cars not being made in America anymore but still being sold locally.

1. 2009 Saturn Vue XE—Used—$13,295

From Cars.com: This six-speed SUV features four-wheel ABS brakes, braking assist and a compass utility. It also features an anti-theft alarm system, radio controls on the steering wheel, XM satellite radio and privacy glass. It comes with 28,513 miles on it and 3.5L V6 engine.

2. 2008 Pontiac G8 GT—Used—$22,912

From Cars.com: The six-speed automatic sedan features a remote ignition system, stability assist, traction control and malfunction display. It also features fog lights, an outside temperature gauge and a CD player. The car comes with 42,023 miles on it.

3. 2007 Suzuki Forenza—Used—$6,485

From Cars.com: This automatic, four-door sedan features 15-inch wheels, side airbags, power windows and air conditioning. It also features power steering, a rear defogger and a tilt steering wheel.

4. 2003 Saturn Ion 3—Used—$4,975

From Cars.com: This five-speed automatic sedan features strut front suspension, privacy glass and interior air filtration. It also features an in-dash single CD player, dual-sensing headlights and daytime running lights. The car comes with 83,000 miles on it.

5. 2006 Volvo V50—Used—$10,991
