59 Marijuana Plants Found Inside Parsippany Home 'Grow Operation': Report

Two Mt. Tabor neighbors are in jail on $300,000 bail each, report says.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Two Parsippany men have been lodged in Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $300,000 bail each after police say they were growing dozens of marijuana plants intended for distribution inside a home.

According to dailyrecord.com, Barton Harris, 58, had 59 pot plants “being cultivated for distribution,” which is a first-degree crime. At the time the home was searched, neighbor Matthew Greist, 40, was at the location, and both allegedly acknowledged joint ownership of the plants, the report said.

Greist was also found to be in possession of 61 small bags of marijuana, the report said.
