6 Parsippany Runners Medal in League Championship

A team record six youth runners from the Parsippany Express took home medals at the Lakeland Cross Country League Championships.

The six medal finishers include:

• Preya Singh, 7th place, girls 13-14 age group with a time of 18:45.59 in the 4,070 meter run
• Missy Rankel, 15th place, 20:22.51 time in the same age and race
• Amanda Hoffman, 5th place, girls 11-12 age group with a 13:33.04 time in the 3,210 meter race
• Brian Metz, 12th place, boys 7-8 age group with a time of 7:56.92 in the 1,730 meter run
• Ashton Morey, 15th place with a time of 7:58.72 in the same age and race
• Kira Chebishev, 4th place in the girls 7-8 age group with a time of 7:53.01 in the 1730 meter run

While the conference tournament is in the books, 10 of the Parsippany Express runners have qualified to compete in the Nov. 22 race in North Chili, New York at the Eastern Regional Meet.
