Armed Man Sought After Assaulting Teen at Morris Supermarket: Sheriff
$1,000 reward offered to find assailant in Monday night Morris Plains incident.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a male accused of assaulting a teen outside Morris County supermarket Monday night.
On Nov. 2 around 7 p.m. an employee of the Stop & Shop supermarket at the intersection of Route 10 and Route 202 in Morris Plains was approached by a black male in the parking lot, the Sheriff’s office said.
The assailant then allegedly assaulted the 17-year-old victim, authorities said. When a passerby attempted to intervene, the suspect brandishes a handgun, authorities said.

At that point the suspect fled the area in a black Dodge Charger with at least two other males, the Sheriff said.
The car’s registration is V79-FNZ, which was rented from Newark International Airport.
