Boonton Launches Labor Day Fireworks Tonight

Boonton Labor Day festivities ends with raffle, pig roast, and fireworks.

The Boonton Fire Department is closing out its Labor Day celebration with a final day of carnival fun, fireworks, and a pig roast today.

The fire team is also celebrating 125 years of service to the township, and residents, including those of surrounding communities across Morris County, are invited to join the fun. You could get lucky and win big during the 50/50 raffle, the drawing of which is also taking place tonight, long after the roasted pig is picked clean.

For the past 80 years, the Boonton Fire Department has customarily had an inspection and parade on Labor Day Weekend. The parade on Saturday assembled in the West Boonton area and proceeded down Main St. to Grant St. to Old Boonton Rd. The procession stopped at Boonton High School.
