Bridge Work On I-80 Will Cause Traffic Closures In Parsippany
I-80 eastbound is set to experience lane and ramp closures tonight in Parsippany-Troy Hills, according to NJDOT.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Drivers can expect lane closures on Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills tonight, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
I-80 eastbound is scheduled for lane and ramp closures tonight, continuing until tomorrow morning. These closures are required for bridge deck repairs and to improve the safety of the work zone on the I-80 eastbound bridge over Old Bloomfield Avenue/Edwards Road, according to transit officials.
Starting at 10 p.m. tonight and continuing until 6 a.m. Saturday, the ramp from Route 46 eastbound to I-80 eastbound, as well as the I-80 eastbound Express Exit 47A ramp to I-280 eastbound, will be closed and detoured.

- Motorists traveling on Route 46 eastbound wishing to take the ramp to I-80 eastbound/Paterson/New York will be directed to continue on Route 46 eastbound.
- Take the ramp to New Road/I-280.
- Turn left onto New Road.
- Turn right onto Old Bloomfield Road.
- Turn left onto Hook Mountain Road.
- Turn right onto New Maple Avenue.
- Take the ramp to I-80 eastbound.
I-80 eastbound Express Exit 47A ramp to I-280 eastbound:
- Motorists on I-80 eastbound Express wishing to take Exit 47A to I-280 eastbound/The Oranges/Newark are advised to take the Exit 45 ramp to Lake Hiawatha/Whippany, which is before Exit 47A.
- Continue on I-80 eastbound.
- Take Exit 47A to I-280/The Oranges/Newark.
Additionally, starting at 10 p.m. tonight and continuing until 6 a.m. On Saturday, the left and center lanes on I-80 eastbound will be closed on the bridge over Old Bloomfield Avenue/Edwards Road, from milepost 46.1 to milepost 46.5.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays.
The work is part of a $15 million federally funded contract aimed at performing preventative maintenance and extending the service life of bridge structures at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
