Firefighters responded immediately to extinguish the fire, which was approximately 100' by 100' in size and spreading. Units used a hose line, water cans and portable appliances to extinguish the fire.
One engine from the Morris Township Fire Department was requested to assist in the overhaul until the fire was declared under control and completely contained. "Overhauling" in the fire service is the process of inspecting a fire scene to ensure that no fire remains, officials said.
