Collection Money Stolen From Parsippany Church: Cops

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Tithes and offerings in a Parsippany church collection plate were stolen over the weekend, Parsippany police said.

Officers responded to Saint Christopher’s Church on Littleton Road where they were met by a priest who said sometime between 5:20 and 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, a person burglarized the rectory by forcing their way through the rear door, police said.

An undisclosed amount was taken from the church’s collection money, police said.

Parsippany police and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 973-263-4311.
