Collection Money Stolen From Parsippany Church: Cops

Alleged burglary took place during 30-minute window Saturday, police report.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Tithes and offerings in a Parsippany church collection plate were stolen over the weekend, Parsippany police said.

Officers responded to Saint Christopher’s Church on Littleton Road where they were met by a priest who said sometime between 5:20 and 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, a person burglarized the rectory by forcing their way through the rear door, police said.

An undisclosed amount was taken from the church’s collection money, police said.
