Concerts, Movie Nights Lined Up For 'Fun Fridays' In Parsippany

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Residents of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township can get their summer weekends off to a rockin' start with a weekly concert/movie series and farmers market beginning this month.

The "Fun Fridays" series runs weekly from June 21 to Aug. 23, except for on Friday, July 5. Concerts and movies run from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and the lineup is listed below.

And, the Parsippany Farmers Market returns weekly on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., running from June 7 through Nov. 1. More than two dozen local vendors will be set up every week, selling everything from farm fresh produce and freshly-baked bread and treats to unique home decor and pet goodies.

All events take place at Veterans Memorial Park (1839 U.S. 46, Parsippany).

Here is the lineup of musical acts and movies for Fun Fridays:

• June 21: Alternate Groove
• June 28: Twilight Disciples
• July 12: Rated R Band
• July 19: Movie showing - "Elemental"
• July 26: Five Wheel Drive
• Aug. 2: Garden State Radio
• Aug. 9: 3 Day Weekend
• Aug. 16: Movie showing - "Super Mario Bros."
• Aug. 23: Super Trans Am

In the case of inclement weather in the forecast, officials will post any decisions by 2 p.m. on the township website and Facebook page, the town said.
