Detour In Place For Construction On Beverwyck Road, Parsippany Police Say

This county project is expected to take a few weeks and the detour is subject to change, police said; drivers are asked to plan ahead.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Construction work has begun along part of Beverwyck Road in Parsippany as the county completes a paving project, township police said.

As of Wednesday morning, South Beverwyck Road is closed between Bee Meadow Parkway and Reynolds Avenue. All southbound traffic is being detoured, officials added.

"Please plan ahead and use an alternate route," said Parsippany Police in a post to residents.

This is a multi-week project and the detour "is subject to change," police said. The county has been working on paving Troy Hills Road and South Beverwyck Road from Route 10 in Whippany to Reynolds Avenue, which is about two and a half miles of road.

Paving is also scheduled to take place on Ridgedale Avenue in Parsippany and East Hanover this year, from Littell Road to New Road.

Also, in responding to a resident who asked about ongoing construction affecting traffic on Lake Shore Drive, Parsippany Police said natural gas work has been taking place in the area.
