Crash, Downed Signal Close Parts Of Route 46 In Morris: Officials

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Police said a crash on U.S. 46 in Parsippany is affecting traffic Monday afternoon, and eastbound traffic is being detoured onto Route 202. And, all lanes of Route 46 are closed at Route 53 in Denville Township due to a downed traffic signal.

Parsippany PD reported a collision at the intersection of Route 46 and Cherry Hill Road, just after noon. Eastbound traffic will be diverted onto Route 202 south, and Route 46 westbound is reduced to one lane of travel. The closure is expected to be in effect until about 2 p.m.

A traffic signal is down on U.S. 46 at Route 53 in Denville, per 511nj.org. All lanes are closed, as of noon.
