PARSIPPANY, NJ — Police are investigating a dead body found inside a Parsippany home earlier this week, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said.

The body was found inside a home on Old Bloomfield Avenue on Monday evening, Knapp said. He said the body was that of a man, but did not provide any identification.

The cause and manner of death are still under investigation, Knapp said.

A police investigation forced the closure of Old Bloomfield Avenue for several hours Monday evening. Parsippany police declined to comment when reached on Tuesday for more information.
