Discount Shopping For Fresh Fruit And Vegetables In Parsippany

I checked out pricing at Delight Big Bazaar on Route 46 and saw .99/lb grapes and apples among other bargains.

Tucked away by the former Retro Fitness and arguably one of Parsippany's best Asian restaurant, Ashia is Delight Big Bazaar. The store carries Indian groceries, clothing and a new small bakery, along with an interesting assortment of housewares.

The first items upon entrance, though, are bulk bread, fruit, vegetables, as well as nuts and seeds.

The prices are generally below grocery stores, and commonly overstocks offer unbeatable prices such as the .99/lb apples that spanned a wide variety of types and were piled high in large boxes.

The store is decidedly no frills. There are sometimes, but not always organics. On this trip (Friday night, May 24), there was organic celery at a nice price under $3 a bag.

If you're driving by and looking to pick up something for your weekend barbecue, there are the makings for many nice picnic items. And, you can get milk and eggs, that are also at reasonable prices.
